Los Alamos is located on a flat mesa top separated by steep canyons. This location was chosen for its relative inaccessibility to help protect the secret activities of the Manhattan Project. I was on a shoot for a car company when I visited the town. It was quiet and cold. Photographed on my Mamiya 7 film camera, the colour co-ordination of the Chevy Pickup and apartments was hard to ignore.
The image size is 10" x 8" and the print measures 14" x 13". It is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl paper, which has a warm base and gsm of 320. The print is blind embossed, captioned and signed on the verso.
