I picked this dried plant up in Dungeness on a recce. There are thousands of these plants growing and regenerating on the huge shingle cuspate in the extraordinary landscape of that area. I read that if you pick the young shoots in spring and steam them, they are delicious and taste similar to asparagus.
The image size is 9" x 6" and the print measures 12.5" x 9". It is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl paper, which has a warm base and gsm of 320. The print is blind embossed, captioned 'Crambe maritima' and signed on the verso.
